We went to an unknown land, called Mindanao. Unknown in the sense that , some of us has been there or if been there, it only for a couple of days.
Some of use went there, not understanding the the dialect, the visayan dialect. Although, on my part i can understand because the majority speaks Ilonggo.
We went there, we hardly know anybody, except the East Asia Hotel's reception ladies and the hotel's restaurant staffs, specifically Hazel, where one almost falls in love. Or infatuated.
After a year, some of us knows the ins and outs of the city. In fact, some of us knows where is the good food. The place where to have fun. Some of us even went far flung areas.
We also discovered a good place for halo halo.
Although, with much regret, I was not able to visit Glan, or Lake Sebu.
We also made so many friends. We made a few enemies. Knows some local lawyers. We were even made a godfather to a very lucky baby.
Some of us will left a very fond memories of the place that has been to part of our life.
Fun Memories indeed.
